This Privacy Policy explains how SkyCom s.r.o. (the “Controller”) collects, uses, stores and protects personal data in connection with the Sentrymo service (mobile application, web interface and related services), in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.

2. Definitions

• Personal data – any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

• Data subject – the individual whose personal data are processed.

• Processing – any operation performed on personal data.

3. Sources of personal data

We primarily collect personal data directly from you when you register for the Sentrymo service, use the application, purchase hardware, or communicate with support. Certain technical data may also be generated automatically during use.

4. Categories of personal data processed

A) Account and contact data

• name or nickname,

• email address, phone number,

• login credentials (password hash, OAuth identifiers),

• account settings and preferences.

B) Vehicle and device data

• vehicle identifiers within the system,

• GPS unit identifiers (e.g. ID/IMEI depending on device type),

• device status and diagnostic data.

C) Location and trip data

• vehicle location (GPS), trip history, timestamps,

• derived statistics and summaries.

D) Photos and user-generated content

• photos uploaded by the user (e.g. profile pictures).

E) Technical and security logs

• application and device diagnostics,

• security logs (logins, selected account changes).

F) Orders and billing data

• billing and contact data necessary for contract performance and legal obligations,

• payment and transaction identifiers. Payment card details are processed by the payment service provider and are not stored by the Controller.

5. Purposes and legal bases of processing (Article 6 GDPR)

5.1 Provision of the Sentrymo service

• Purpose: account creation, vehicle monitoring, map display, notifications and alarms.

• Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

5.2 Legal obligations

• Purpose: accounting, invoicing, complaint handling.

• Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

5.3 Security and service protection

• Purpose: fraud prevention, system security, audit logging.

• Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5.4 Marketing communication

• Direct marketing towards existing customers may be based on legitimate interest.

• Other marketing activities require your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which may be withdrawn at any time.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies are required for basic functionality. Statistical and marketing cookies are used only with your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

• Necessary cookies – ensure core website functionality.

• Statistical cookies – help us understand website usage and improve content.

• Marketing cookies – may be used to measure campaign effectiveness and provide relevant communication.

7. Data retention

• User account data: generally up to 5 years after account termination.

• Location and trip data: generally up to 5 years.

• Billing and accounting data: 10 years as required by law.

• Technical logs: short-term, depending on purpose.

8. Rights of the data subject (Articles 12–23 GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority.

9. Changes to this document

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect legal or service changes. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
